How We Operate
Founded in 1992, MSS is a certified, Indigenous-led organization that has evolved into a nationwide innovative social benefit procurement company dedicated to achieving reconciliation in action. MSS provides a framework and support for governments, institutions, and corporations to demonstrate leadership in reconciliation through public commitment and social procurement.
Our commitment to truth, respect, and acknowledgement drives us to preserve cultural heritage while creating sustainable opportunities that foster economic growth and support the social well-being of Indigenous Canadians. Embracing authenticity and partnership, we strive to break down barriers, address socio-economic gaps, and create a harmonious and inclusive society where Indigenous voices are heard and celebrated.
Together, we can turn the page on the past, not by erasing it, but by learning from it, crafting a future where every Indigenous child can dream and achieve, unencumbered by the shadows of yesterday.
This is our duty, our challenge, and most importantly, our promise to future generations.
Corporate Reconciliation Partnership
Indigenous procurement and supply chain equity are becoming increasingly recognized as critical components in driving Canada's economy. Corporations and manufacturers acknowledge the importance of reconciliation and collaborating with Indigenous businesses and communities to foster economic development and self-determination.
MSS is dedicated to forging relationships with socially responsible and reliable distributors and manufacturers to distribute essential goods and services.
These authentic partnerships have augmented our ability to serve the multifaceted needs of Canada, ensuring certainty, capacity, and performance integrity. It is our belief that our enhanced operational capacity can advance sustainable procurement practices that not only emphasize social responsibility but also environmental sustainability.
Indigenous Partnership
MSS’s vision is to foster health equity and social prosperity for Indigenous peoples by integrating traditional supply chain principles and contemporary procurement practices. Our innovative social benefit procurement framework acknowledges the complex history of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
It proposes a forward-looking approach that honours the past, addresses the present challenges, and lays the groundwork for a future marked by Indigenous prosperity and self-determination. It is a testament to the potential for change and the enduring spirit of Indigenous communities nationwide.
With a forward-looking vision, we aim to promote reconciliation, self-determination, and economic empowerment by championing Indigenous participation within the supply chain and procurement frameworks of Canadian governmental bodies, public institutions, and broader industry sectors.
By giving back 51% of our net profits, MSS seeks to enhance contributions towards closing socio-economic gaps, improving social determinants of health, and creating educational and employment opportunities within Indigenous communities in Canada.

Government Partnership
MSS is a certified, Indigenous-led social benefit procurement company that champions the cause of reconciliation through actionable strategies.
Our mission aligns with the Federal Government’s objective to build a stronger, more inclusive Canada by creating sustainable opportunities and supporting the social well-being of Indigenous Canadians.
MSS is committed to leveraging our supply chain and social benefit procurement framework to foster a whole-of-government approach in Canada.
This framework is designed to create a strategic pathway that not only aligns with UNDRIP, the Indigenous procurement participation mandates of the 101 Federal government departments, agencies, and ministries but also supports the overarching Federal Sustainable Development Strategy and goals.
It is our belief that achieving a minimum mandatory requirement of 5% Indigenous procurement participation can foster an environment that nurtures the growth and expansion of Indigenous businesses and enterprises.
Through these collaborative efforts with dedicated government entities, we are eager to co-develop and transform governmental engagement with Indigenous commerce, thereby catalyzing new revenue streams, job creation, and enhanced capacity.
